Our Back to School Program helps local students start the new school year with confidence. Registrations will open January 12th, and we’ll once again be calling on our community to help us pack school bags with the essentials every child deserves.

What Is the Back to School Program?

Every year, Angels Community Group helps local students return to school with all the essentials they need. Families register for support, and with help from community donations, we prepare and pack full school bags for students from Prep to Year 12 who would otherwise struggle to afford supplies.

From stationery to lunch boxes, every item helps relieve the financial pressure many families face as the new school year approaches.

What’s in a Back to School Pack?

Each backpack is filled with age-appropriate essentials such as:

  • lunch box

  • water bottle

  • pencil case

  • pens, pencils, and stationery

  • exercise books and folders

  • additional items depending on availability and donations

We pack each bag with the goal of giving students a strong and confident start to the year.

The program supports students from Prep to Grade 12 living in Bundaberg and surrounding areas who independently cannot afford to purchase back-to-school supplies.

Registrations open in January each year, and we assist as many families as our donations allow.

Who Is Eligible?

How the Program Is Funded

Back to School is completely free for families and receives no government funding. The program runs entirely on the generosity of our local community; individuals, families, businesses, and groups who donate school supplies, funds, or time to help us prepare the backpacks.

With the rising cost of living, these donations make a significant difference to families doing it tough.

We accept donations at 66 Targo Street.
Items that are always needed include:

  • new backpacks

  • lunch boxes

  • water bottles

  • pencil cases

  • pens, pencils, and stationery

  • exercise books and folders

You can also make a financial donation on our website and select Back to School Program so 100% of your contribution goes directly to supporting local students.
