Angels Community Group focus on short and long term goals of the community members. Our charity works on short term issues such as emergency hampers.
However, long term goals are just as important to us and we address peoples needs, for long term employment and financial security. We do this by applying for government funded programs, using this platform we are able to give people the opportunity to improve skills, confidence and support them while on their job search journey.

Past Program.
Our Skilling Queenslanders For Work, Work Skills Trainees 2020 completed a Certificate I Retail. We met all our KPI’s with 6 of the trainees gaining employment after completing their traineeship. 10 of the 11 trainees also finished their certificate I.

Our Get Set For Work 2019 program was a huge success with 65% positive outcomes and a whole lot of fun

Our most exciting project was our Food Cart. We are so proud of the Work Skills Traineeships Construction I participants in 2018.

We have 10 trainees currently studying a Certificate I in Retail, funded by the Queensland Government, Skilling Queenslanders for Work, Work Skills Traineeship.

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Angels who would it be? If I were to change my position here at angels, I would want to be in my supervisors position, Gail.
Favourite thing since starting at Angels? No two days are the same there’s always something happening. The customers are lovely and some donations are just awesome!! I enjoy watching donations go to new homes.
What’s your dream job? My dream job would have to be a hairdresser.

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Angels who would it be? If I had a chance to change my position I wouldn’t take the chance. I like being on the kitchen. If your looking for me that’s where you’ll find me.
What’s your dream job? My dream job would be working in an orphanage with children.

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Angels who would it be? If I had a chance to change my position here at angels I would hands down choose to be the boss (sue) who doesn’t like telling people what to do.
What’s your dream job? My dream job when I was a child was to always be a paramedic working in an ambulance truck.

A movie I think everyone should watch is any movie from the ‘marvel collection’ my favourite is ‘avengers the end game’

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Angels who would it be? If I had a chance to change my position I would absolutely love to be the warehouse supervisor, I do most that work anyways.
What’s your dream job?My dream job would be doing anything in charity work or truck driving.

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Angels who would it be? If I could change my position, I’m not sure if I would. I really enjoy my job and what I’m doing and the best parts working with Pato, maybe I could take Pato’s position and make her work with me. I’d love that.
What’s your dream job? My dream job is to be a veterinarian.

If you could swap jobs with anyone at Angels who would it be? If I had the chance to change my position here at angels I wouldn’t change. I love my position as the customers are always complimenting me and my smile. Always being busy is what I enjoy and even on the busiest days I can manage to put a smile on anyone’s face.
What’s your dream job? My dream job would be a photographer or working in any position in retail.
A movie you think everyone must watch? Spider Man far from Home or Onward I enjoy both movies.
